How it works

Three steps. Zero sales pitch.

  1. 1

    Tell us what you need

Solar, a battery, or both. Already have solar? We can add backup to it. You pick it, we price exactly that.

  2. 2

    We check your roof

Google satellite data shows how much sun your roof gets and how many panels fit. You see it right on the page.

  3. 3

    You get it straight

Real equipment and real pricing, sent by text or email. Questions go to a real person on our team, and we reach out only the way you choose.

Why QuoteAI

No salespeople. No commissions.

A lot of solar is sold by commissioned salespeople, and you pay for that commission in the price. We don't have salespeople, so we don't pay commissions, and that money stays out of your quote.

The usual way

  • A salesperson at your kitchen table
  • A long pitch and add ons you didn't ask for
  • A sales commission built into the price
  • Pressure to sign today
  • “Just calling to follow up” for weeks
  • Your install handed off to a subcontractor

  • You tell us what you need, on your own time
  • A quote for exactly that, nothing else
  • No salespeople, so no sales commission
  • Take all the time you need
  • We reach out only the way you choose
  • Installed by our own licensed electricians

Every quote still gets a designer's review of your roof and bill, and a site check confirms the details before anything is installed.

Why now

A $5 increase sounds small. Zoom out.

Colorado home electricity prices

+0%from 2020 to 2025

Xcel's latest increase added about $5 to the average monthly bill. Look at the longer trend and it's a different story. Prices barely moved from 2015 to 2020, then climbed 27% in five years, and so far 2026 is running about 9% above last year.

Looking ahead: in a scenario state regulators largely adopted, Xcel's own projections show average residential rates rising roughly 34% from 2024 through 2029.

Xcel's electric rates have risen 22.2% since September 2023, more than three times the rate of inflation, according to state regulators' staff.

You can't control what the utility charges. You can control how much of your power you buy from it.

Incentives

Yes, there are still incentives.

The federal homeowner credit ended with 2025, but that's not the whole story. Colorado and many local utilities still help, and there's one program most homeowners haven't heard of yet. QuoteAI checks what your address qualifies for before we quote.

Federal tax credit valueApproved installers only

Propel brings federal tax credit value back for qualifying homes.

Homeowners can't claim the federal solar credit anymore, but businesses still can. With Propel, a business owns your system for the first five years, claims that credit, and passes the value to you in your price. After year five, you can choose to take ownership, and the buyout is already built into your payment.

Not every installer can offer Propel. We can, and QuoteAI checks if your home qualifies.

Battery programs

Xcel's Renewable Battery Connect pays up to $5,000 upfront for an eligible solar charged battery. Fort Collins Utilities offers a battery rebate of up to $6,000, with or without solar. PVREA's Battery Rewards pays $60 per kW upfront plus $20 a month on qualifying Tesla batteries.

Program rules apply and can change. Some utility programs let the utility use part of your battery during peak demand. Tax credits depend on your own tax situation, so check with your tax professional. Propel financing is offered through Concert Finance with loans made by Medallion Bank, Member FDIC, subject to credit approval. NextEnergy is not a lender, and your signed agreement controls ownership, coverage and terms.

Questions

Good questions, straight answers.

What is QuoteAI?

It's our online quoting tool for homeowners. You tell it what you want priced, it checks your roof and usage, and our team sends you a real quote by text or email.

Why don't you have salespeople?

We built QuoteAI so you can get a clear quote without the pitch. No salespeople means we don't pay sales commissions, so that cost stays out of your price.

Is QuoteAI a bot? Who builds my quote?

QuoteAI does the legwork. It checks your roof, your usage and the incentives you may qualify for. A designer on our team reviews every quote before it goes out, and a real person answers your questions.

What is Propel, and do I qualify?

Propel is a program for Colorado homes going solar, with or without a battery. A business owns the system for the first five years and passes federal tax credit value to you in your price, with one fixed monthly payment and the option to own it after year five. It requires credit approval and an eligible home, and only approved installers can offer it. QuoteAI checks if your home is eligible, and your quote shows Propel pricing if it is.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. No cost, no obligation and no pressure to decide.

Who installs my system?

Our own licensed electricians and install crew. NextEnergy has been doing this since 2020, with more than 1,100 solar and battery systems installed across Colorado and Wyoming. We're a fully licensed electrical contractor in both states, and we don't use subcontractors.

Do I need to be home or meet anyone?

No. We build your quote from your address, roof data and bill. If you decide to move forward, we schedule a site check to confirm the details.

How accurate is the roof check?

It uses Google's satellite roof data to estimate sun and space. Our designer reviews it, and the site check confirms the final design before anything is installed.

What if I already have solar?

Choose Battery for my existing solar. We ask a few questions about your system so the battery works with it.

Which areas do you serve?

Homeowners across Colorado and Wyoming, including Xcel Energy, Poudre Valley REA, Fort Collins Utilities, Loveland, Longmont, United Power and Estes Park customers.

I rent my home. Can I still ask?

Yes. Systems go on owned homes, but we are happy to send information you can share with your landlord.

Will you keep calling me?

No. You choose text, email or a quick 10 minute call, and that's how we reach you. No badgering and no “just checking in.”

What you need. Nothing else.
